STUDYING ABROAD

In this video there are 3 interviews of 3 different international students studying in the United States.They all come from completely different parts of the world and as a result they have almost nothing in common.Their nationalities,cultures and also their economical conditions in their countries are dissimilar.But they have one thing in common.They are all international students studying at the same university-Ohio North University(UNO)-in the United States.Throughout the whole video we can see different aspects of being an international student,divided into 8 main topics.Students in the video make their own comments on these.For instance our first topic is about the benefits of studying in the USA.According to the students,these benefits could be the opportunities the universities in the US offer,or at least Ohio North University offers,to practise freely.Or the different educational system based on creativity could be one good benefit.Apart from these,the preferrable environment,which really means a lot to them as they can´t have it in their own countries,is also an undeniably good advantage of studying in the US.Their reasons for coming to America for their education were the effect of exchanging programmes,the encourage of their relatives like their grandfather etc. or a friend´s advice who graduated from UNO.Our third topic was about the differences these students observed between their own countries and the USA.While they can´t change what they have chosen as their major in their own countries due to the strict attitute of theirs,the American education system is more tolerable about this situation.In other countries they just give you your books and your plannings.But the American one is flexible and you can do much more besides your studies.Their answers to what they like most about their University were quietness,which is an advantage of living in a small town.That means they like the life there.Or the small sizes of the classes which make it easier to communicate with faculty members who are according to them very supportive,is also one good thing.Then our students were asked about the cost of studying abroad.Their anwers were quite different because the cost depends on your department you study.It can be 20,079$ or 34.000$ including all expenses like room,paper and fees.What their biggest benefit of studying in the US was,is our sixth topic.Their answers to this were getting to know American culture better.For instance Americans use dry machines whereas people from China dry clothes outside.Or American people are outgoing and they just say what they are thinking.But Japanese people use indirect communication.They try to guess other people`s minds.Aside from these the girl from Netherlands mentioned she created a new goal since coming to America.She gained a lot of priceless experiences as a result of college and people around.Did they experience any culture shock?Their answer was "yes".For example,American people wear t-shirts in winter.They like coffee a lot ,or they do not get embarressed about the things about which other cultures do.And here comes another question: Do they plan to stay in the US after their education at ONU? Their answers vary.One wants to stay in th US for one or two years to get an internship.Another wants in America,too.Otherwise he can lose his English skills.He says he has already got troubles speaking English everywhere although he is residing in America.And if he were in his own country he couldn`t imagine how fast he would lose them.The other considers about staying in America.But if she doesn`t she will travel the world:)

BEİNG A STUDENT İN USA

Firstly, the students on this video are happy to be a studying in America as foreign students. They are from different cultures, countries and backgrounds.

They compare education systems of their countries and they find American education system better. For example the student from China Linxi thinks American education system has more opportunities to practice. On the other hand, Krisho, from Netherland finds it more creative and emphasises that it is based on team- work. Arata, from Japan, says that you can change your major in America but you cannot it in USA and this is the difference between Japan and American education system.

Another important point is that how they found Ohio State University? Linxi says she learned it by agencies and Krisho says he had took advice of her grandfather’s friends who studied in Ohio University before.

They study in America but how much it cost to them? They says it changes according to your department ,house and meal but approximately it costs 30K-35K $.I think it is big sum of money but they don’t think so. Because they think it is not too much money when you consider its benefits.

As I said at first, they are from different cultures and absolutely they suffered from some cultural shocks. For example Linxi says American people wears short clothes in winter. Arata says American people speaks directly contrary to Japanese people.

Lastly, being a student in a foreign university is a thing that I want to experience in my life at least once. Because I want to learn about different cultures and people.

REWRİTİNG

1-) Our beagle loves hunting.When someone opens the back door for her exit,she goes very quickly to courtyard. Then she runs back and goes across the lawn in a very excitement. Her nose smells the wet grass for smells of cats, rabbits and other creatures that is too hard for human detection. Spinning her tail in quick circles, she smells. Firstly, it spins clokwise and then anticlokwise. These activities seem to propel along.

2-) The official publishing house for the federal government,The Government Printing Office in Washinghton D.C is a source of much conventional informations and knows by few people. On a vast number, ıt publishes booklets and books whose subjects ranges from the danger of X-rays from home Tv sets to the identification of mushrooms. Approximately 27.000 publications, many of whose are inexpensive are offered to Superintendent of Documents.

3-) A German immigrant whose name was John Jacob Astor reaped America’s first fortune. He earned his first money trading Indian furs. He was lowborn, illiterate and never learned English fluently. He continued his job to the end in an accent which was redolent of Hamburg gutter.

STUDYING ABROAD

    The students in video are contented with studying in USA.They think it means much more things than studying.They met new people and knew the culture better by this way.They also had a lot of experiences.
     The education system in their own countries are not so good as the one in USA according to them.USA education system is based on creativity,practice and teamwork.It is also easy to communicate with faculty members.This is so supportive for the students.Japanese student talks about the technical knowledge they learn in the school.They do almost no practice.But, in USA ,they have opportunities to practise.Also,they cannot change major in Japan while they can in USA.Chinese student complains about the difficulty of entering a college in China.They need to get high grades for this.It is quite strict system when compared to the one in USA.Netherlander student says that they have an ordinary education without practising or using their creativity in Netherland.
    Chinese student learned about studying abroad by agencies.Netherlander student took advices from her environment.Japanese one studied high school abroad.So he got used to this situation.
    The students talk about their culture shock.Chinese student mentions the short clothes worn in winter.She also says that they hang up the clothes outside in her hometown instead of using drying machine.But American people use drying machine.Japanese student mentions the difference of communication types between his country and USA.He says that people in Japan are not so outgoing as in USA.They communicate indirectly while American people communicate directly.Also Americans don't get embarressed when they burb.It is something ordinary in USA.
    When it comes to financial side of studying abroad,the students says that it depends on the department studied,meal and accommodation.It costs approximately 35000 dollars.They think that it is not too much considering the advantages.
    I'd like to study abroad as these students did.I think it would help me develop my language skills.Also I would learn more about the culture of that country.But,I would have difficulties at first.Because it is quite difficult to get accustomed to new place,new people,different life style,meals,etc.However,it is not so important considering the advantages I would get.

VİDEO REFLECTİON

           The students choose the university in US.Because they think that US education system has a lot of opportunities for students.For example the girl from China thinks that US education system helps her to practice.The girl from Netherland thinks that American education system more creative and flexible than the others.But the boy from Japan says that coming to this school like a habit for him.Because he was in foreign country at high school.So he is accustomed to it.
            They dislike education systems in their home country.They think that the education system of their country quite strict.They say that education system in US is more flexible.The girl from Netherland says that education system of her country is based on just books and fix plans.So she likes the system of US.The Japanese student says that they cannot change their major in her country.The girl from China says that they must get high grades to enter the universities in her country.
             They mention about America.Chinese girl gives an example the way of drying clothes of American people.In China clothes are hanged to outside ,but in America people use drying machines to dry them.The girl from Netherland mentions about her experiences in America.The boy from Japan says that American people are more easy to understand because they communicate each other directly but the Japanese don't.
             The girl from Netherland says that culture shock is inescapable for students.Because there are different people,different places,foods..And they have different culture.The Chinese girl finds interesting people who wear shorts in winter.The boy is shocked by people who burp without thinking where they are.
             As to my opinions,studying in America is useful for us.Education in America can provide many opportunities to us.When we back to our country,we have more qualified and comfortable life.We can find better jobs easily.I would like to go to America to study.I hope ı can go there in the following years.If ı go there,ı know that ı will encounter some difficulties but ı can achieve as time goes..

How To Remove The Blogger Nav Bar

Dear Friends,

For years, I have disliked that navigation bar appears on the upper side of your blogs. Tonight, I wanted to give it a try if I could find someting relevant to this annoying topic. Finally I managed to get rid of this nav bar easily and wanted to share this way with you. I hope you find this solution practical and easy-to-use. It is a quatation and author's copyrights should be respected all the time. So I put the real address through down the page. There it goes!

How To Remove It

If you've decided that you definitely want to remove your blogger navbar, it's actually a very simple process that any non-technically-inclined person can accomplish with ease.

Just follow these steps:

1. Login to your blogger dashboard.

2. Click "Layout"

3. Click "Edit HTML"

4. Find the BLUE code you see in the image to your right. The code will be quite near the top of your HTML section, you shouldn't have to scroll very far at all. The blue code should definitely be there, but the data box you see may not be, depending on where your template came from.

5. ADD the code you see in red precisely where you it see it in the image to your right. If you want to copy and paste it, do so from the bold text you see below:

#navbar-iframe {

display: none !important;

}

Preview It First!

Use your preview button before you click save! If you like what you see, go ahead and save.

What happens if I want the navbar back in the future?

Simply go back into your HTML the same way and delete the part you just added. It's really that simple!
